Jasmine was in the forest when these two Pokemon arrived to ask their question, the Ninetales turning happily to see her friend Yukia, and also a Gothitelle, both asking about her spells and if she had any new ones to show off.
“Oh hi! I’m actually working on my own little spell right now, it’s one I came up with myself!” The Ninetales grins happily. She moves a bit away from the two just to make sure they won’t get caught up in what she’s about to do. “Ok, so I haven’t named this spell yet… but it’s supposed to let me jump a lot higher than normal, let me see if it works or not!” Jasmine tells them, getting into a crouching position, as if she was ready to jump, and aiming her palms at the ground. All at once, an explosion of fire shoots out from her hands, and at the same time, she leaps into the air, getting 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 higher than any normal jump would take her! She lets out a small yelp of surprise, followed by a giggle as she blasts up into the air like that. When she reaches the peak of her jump however…
…She realizes she didn’t plan any way to get back down! “waitWAIT, aah!” She goes, flapping her arms out of reflex as she falls back to the earth, landing somewhat roughly in the branches of a nearby tree. She looks a little stunned from her fall, before a look of embarrassment washes over her face.
“…I forgot I’d fall back down…” She mumbles, trying to hide her face in her slightly singed robe.

“Um… well magic doesn’t just solve all of my problems you know, I’m still susceptible to type disadvantages and the like, so I don’t always have it so easy, even with magic on my side.” She sighs a bit. “You can probably imagine fire magic still doesn’t work well on things like rock or ground types, and well… there are a bunch of them that live between here and my school. Remember how I said there was a mountain range you have to go through to get there? I usually have to get an escort through there because of it.” The Ninetales frowns, seeming a little ashamed to admit it. “That’s not to say all Pokemon of those types are bad though!” She reassures, “Just, I’ve had trouble with some of them in the past.” She cuts off. Seems like she’d rather not delve deeper on the topic…

Interesting… It seems to be unclear. The Fool; beginnings, possibilities, nothing, everything… a package wrapped neatly with a pretty bow, its insides unknown.
Open the box if you wish, but practice caution… it could be a fancy toy just as easily as it could be a snake.
“Oh, so not even the stars can tell me if it’ll be worth my time or not? Well alright, I guess my fate hasn’t been decided yet then… I suppose that’s not a bad thing. Well thank you for the reading anyway! I’ll be glad to have that cryptic dream out of my head… I think I’ll continue on my current path, even if the outcome is uncertain.”

Can you guess what it is
“Umm…. is it Tether Ball maybe? That’s the only game I know where a ball is attached to a pole… Some people played it back at my school…” Jasmine responds, looking a bit confused, but hoping that she was at least on the right track.
Hey, sorry I haven’t posted in like a week, college is getting rough and I haven’t really had the time or motivation to write out responses that I’m happy with… I do have a few asks that I can work on, so I hope to have something out by Friday at the latest!
In the meantime though, I tried to draw Jasmine between two of my classes.

“Well, usually I use magic as a replacement for my attacks since they’re not as potent as some other mon’s moves, but you’re not wrong, I can do other things unrelated to moves as well. There’s one spell I’m working on right now for instance that acts like a cloak for the user, hiding them from sight, though you can still be felt and smelled and all that. Not the most useful, but it’s something different anyways.”
“In everyday life though, I find myself using a certain spell to make things lighter than normal so I can carry heavier objects with ease… like all those books and paper I was bringing home earlier, it would have been tough to hold normally, but I just made it not as heavy before I left the store…” Jasmine explains, before starting to mumble.
“Now if only I could have still seen where I was walking from behind all of those papers, maybe I wouldn’t have tripped…”
